Price giving ceremony

We had a nice price giving ceremony. We are really happy so many pilots joined us tonight.

1st. place was taken by Franc Peternel (SLO), 2nd. was Jože Frim (SLO), 3rd.was Balazs Ujhelyi (HUN).
1st. woman was Julia Burlachenko (UKR).

We would like to thank everyone for coming and we hope to see you again next year.

 

5th task and price giving ceremony

Today we had 110km long task. Not officially there were around 6 pilots in goal and Franc Peternel flew in first. We are waiting for all the instruments to come to headquarters.
We will publish the results as soon as possible.

   Price giving ceremony will be today (17th Aug. 2013) at 21:00.

Kobala open 5th, last day

Last day of Kobala open, east wind finally died down. We hope for some clouds to appear but in any case we should have a really good day to fly with a long task.
News of Edoardo is that everything is ok, nothing broken, but he stayed in hospital at observation. Whole Kobala team wishes hima fast recovery.

Official transport goes to Kobala at 10, briefing at 12 at take off.

Kobala Open 4th day cancelled

Task was cancelled. Unfortunally Edoardo had a bad launch. We waited for the resque team. Helicopter took him to the hospital in Ljubljana. Organizer cancelled the task at 3:15pm. In the air were only 4 competitors. All other pilots can free fly today
We wish to Edoardo everything best and a speedy recovery.

Kobala open 4th day

We made 110km task today. Pilots will launch at 2:15pm. In the morning was little stronger east wind. But it is coming down, since we can see some of the paragliding pilots goofing in the air. 
We wish everyone safe and pleasant flight and see you at the landing. 

Kobala open, day 4

Looks like the wind died down enough and we will have a task today. Vans are going up to Kobala take of at 10am.

Third day cancelled

After looking at the windgram and forecast ožfor the whole day, we decided to cancel the day as we see no option for running a safe task. There might be a chance to fly later in the evening if the wind dies down a bit but it would not be enough for the task.

We feel confident for tomorrow as it looks very good, also the day after looks very good. Two days with long tasks ahead.

We suggest pilots to use this sunny non flying day for activities in our valley, there is many options to use :)

Third day of Kobala open

Front has passed the area but now we have quite some strong E wind on take off, gusting up to 18 m/s. We postpone the briefing to 11 at head quaters for all the pilots, when we will decide about the day.

Today the front moved in to the area so we had to cancel the day. Pilots are invited to the dinner at Camp Siber at 8 pm.

First day Kobala open 2013

We had short 87km task because of strong SW wind and upcoming front. It was a lot of happy pilots in goal. Tomorrow it can happen that we have non flying day, but don`t party too hard, because everything is possible in Soča valley.

Registration for Kobala open 2013

Today we had a beautiful, flyable day in Tolmin. It is getting dark and we are waiting for the last pilots to sign in. Again we are very happy that so many excellent pilots joined us for Kobala Open 2013.

Tomorrow we will meet at the headquarters at 9:00 am, where you will collect your lunch packet and get some information about competition day.

Official transportation will leave from headquarters at 10:00 am.
